Hotel La Serre
Five minutes from the Eiffel Tower. In the 7th arrondissement on the rue Cler home to one of the Paris well-loved open-air markets owners Philippe et Marie-Alice Beraud, welcome guests to their Hotel La Serre** and try their best to ensure that la Serre is the ideal place to call HOME in Paris. This charming and affordable hotel with cosy rooms and friendly English speaking staff is an easy stroll to the Eiffel Tower and Champs Elysees. Museums as Louvre, Rodin, Orsay, Invalides et Trocadero are at your door as well Faubourg St Honoré with all the couture boutiques. Subways and buses take you in 30 minutes direct to Chateau de Versailles Conventions park, and in 45 minutes to Eurodisney. Hotel la Serre** has no "King-size" beds and no "King-size" bathrooms: we got rid of these royal accoutrements during the French Revolution…. However we do have wonderfully charming rooms newly renovated with all the amenities. Each floor is dedicated to a Province in France and is accessible by lift. The rue Cler, neighbourhood has the open market and provides all kind of handy services including hairdressing salon, spa, laundromat, shoe mender, bank change, post office, cyber-café, travel agent, railways office, supermarket drugstore and much more... Restaurants, cafés and transportation are just outside our door. There is a soft drink distributor on the lobby during summertime you will find an ice machine, in the winter you can enjoy hot drinks around hearth.
Hotel la Serre** Has no "King-Size beds" and no King-Size bathrooms" : we got rid of these royal accoutrements during the French revolution…. However we do provide attractive charming rooms each with private safes for valuables. Toilets and shower, television , direct dial phone, hair dryers, double or twin comfortable beds. If you can not visit all of France, a visit to our hotel will be "A pleasure to your eyes" You will appreciate the recent renovations of Hotel la Serre** where each floor has been dedicated to a specific province in France. In Bretagne, Normandie, Savoie all the fabrics and the furnishing have different style. An example is the Normandy floor where the bureau, bedhead and wardrobe furnishings are in decorative wood with an apple trees design as are the bathrooms. The curtains are made from authentic TOILE DE JOUY and portray an event in Normandy history when the king Louis XVI journeyed to Cherbourg in the June 1786 to sink the 9th cone-foundation of the seawall!
